Molesey Head Races 2026 returns to the Thames
The much‑loved Molesey Head Races return on Saturday 14 February 2026, bringing competitive rowing, riverside atmosphere and community spirit back
Elmbridge Borough Council has just refused planning permission for the damaging flats proposal between Cherimoya and Monaveen Gardens.
This is tremendous news, thanks to objections from around 80 local residents and a detailed letter submitted by us as your Residents’ Association. You can read our full response here: [Application Reference 2025/2278 – Land Northwest of 8 Cherimoya Gardens].
However, we will continue to keep a close watch. The applicants may appeal, and there may be further land sales or new planning applications in the area. Please keep sending us any relevant news at hello@hurstpark.co.uk

Many residents will have heard that some of the areas of landscaped common land in our estate are being auctioned
