The 54 participants enjoyed a mix of entertainment and educational light-heartedness. Competition between the tables was friendly and fair with the odd hint of fierceness being extinguished by laughter and banter. Six rounds of very interesting and engaging questions provided a rich mix of topics, generally well within the range of most people’s knowledge or well within their
guessing abilities. Charlotte, from the committee of HPRA with the enthusiastic and able assistance of Poppy & Jack, secured the success of the winter quiz with her organisation, presentation, and sparkling personality. It was a truly memorable evening.
There were, of course, prizes generously donated by WIND UP HERE of Norbiton and Tesco, who also supplied a full team and performed excellently. As well as drinks being available at the bar, there was a tray of mixed sandwiches per table which were very well received.
The quiz was held at the British Legion in East Molesey on Friday 22nd of November from 7.30 until 10 pm. The summer quiz date is yet to be announced but will present another opportunity for us all to invite neighbours and friends to make up a table of six. They will share a fun instructional evening and assist the Hurst Park Residents’ Association whilst promoting community cohesion.
