The much-anticipated Spring Exhibition by the Molesey Art Society opened its doors yesterday, bringing colour, creativity, and community spirit to St Albans Catholic Primary School Hall in East Molesey. Running until Sunday, 20th April, there’s still time to stop by and explore a rich collection of local talent.

Held annually, the Spring Exhibition is a cornerstone of Molesey’s cultural calendar, drawing visitors from both near and far. For local residents, it’s a chance to see familiar names, discover new artists, and support the creative energy that thrives in our area.

This year’s exhibition features a juried selection of works, with awards recognising excellence in various mediums—from traditional oil paintings and delicate watercolours to expressive drawings and mixed-media pieces. In addition to the framed works on display, visitors can browse through unframed artworks in browser racks, perfect for anyone looking to start or grow an art collection.

The school hall has also been transformed into a bustling hub of craft and design, with individual tables showcasing handmade jewellery, ceramics, woodwork, textiles, and more. Many of these items are available for purchase—ideal for finding a unique gift or simply treating yourself to something special.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a curious neighbour, or just looking for a lovely afternoon outing, the exhibition offers something for everyone. Entry is free, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.
